Civil Field Photos

Capture, annotate, and organize civil engineering site photos.

Built for civil engineers, surveyors, and construction managers who need clean, professional site photos without a desktop workflow. Now in pre-release testing on iPhone, iPad, and Android — testers get Pro for free.

Both platforms are in pre-release testing — iOS via TestFlight, Android via Google Play closed testing. Pro is free while you test.

Capture

Every photo, fully documented.

Civil Field Photos isn't a generic camera. Every shot includes the metadata you'd otherwise log by hand — and the overlays render directly on the photo so they survive any export.

Live GPS overlay
Latitude, longitude, compass heading, altitude, and reverse-geocoded street address are stamped onto every photo as you capture.
Auto timestamp
Every shot is stamped with the capture date and time automatically — one less thing to log by hand.
Camera controls
Flash toggle, front/rear switch, and screen-rotation lock — built for one-handed use on a hard hat in bright sun.
Sensor-backed GPS
Coordinates come from the device's location sensors. Street address identification uses Apple or Google services and requires network access when available.

Annotate

Mark up in the field, not back at the desk.

A full annotation toolset lives on every photo. Add measurements, arrows, callouts, and notes the moment you spot the issue. Originals are always preserved.

Annotation tools
Arrows, dimension lines, freehand markup, and text labels.
Color palette
Switch annotation colors to keep different inspection passes separate.
Toggle visibility
Hide overlays for a clean view, then bring them back. Originals are always preserved.
Undo / redo
Full-history editing. Try a markup, change your mind, restart instantly.

Export screen with location overlay and format options for selected photos
Export

Deliverables your clients expect.

Branded PDF reports, full-resolution ZIPs, and shareable links — all from your phone, all with your firm's stamp.

  • Branded PDF reports with captioned photos and GPS data
  • Full-resolution ZIP archives with overlays baked in
  • Custom watermark and logo per project
  • Share via AirDrop, email, Slack, Drive, Dropbox — anywhere your phone supports
Field documentation

A complete record, attached to every photo.

A normal camera roll tells you a photo exists. Civil Field Photos records where it was taken, when it was captured, which project it belongs to, and the field notes that explain it.
